Big thanks to Tyler for taking the time to write this.

The Beginning:
On the cold day of the 8th of October, 2005, I (Tyler) took a visit to the NeoQuest Chat boards. Being relativly new to the NeoQuest Chat, I didn't know of any NeoQuest I or II guilds. Wanting to make a great guild, I posted on the boards. The topic read “Looking for a Neoquest guild.” The first person to visit the board happened to be Stacey. After introductions and pleasentries, the idea for the guild was born. It only needed a name.

Many names were played around with. Stacey suggested "Rohane's Bane," even thought bane means death. Originally not liking the name, we briefly thought about changing the name to "Terask's Bane," but it just didn't have the same sound to it. Nevertheless, Rohane’s Bane stuck. Once the word spread about the newest NeoQuest guild, people started to join right away. In the first day, we managed to get 10 people to join. By the end of the week, we had chosen the first of the council members and Stacey had begun work on the graphics and original guild webbie. I helped by spreading the word about our great guild. Some of the members that I recruited are still active members of the guild, almost a year later. By the time the second week started, the council was chosen: Stacey (owner), Tyler (co-owner), Lyn (third council member), Chanel (fourth council member), and Nicci (fifth council member). Thus, a revolution was born.

The Kickoff:
The guild was an instant hit among the NQC's CHP group. It was the place to be. We had great people... the guild had great graphics (thanks to Stacey for her great HTML/CSS work)... we even had a mini mall! We were helping people with NQ I and II, writing guides, the whole 9 yards. The guild was great. We introduced people at the Neoquest CHP’s. People that were not members supported Rohane's Bane by making banners. There were no fights or drama then; we were all friends. Little did we know, drama was on it's way to the NQC and it was threatening to take Rohane's Bane with it.

The Great Sadness:
What goes up, must come down... a ll good things must come to an end, or at least a halt. Rohane's Bane started to collapse in on us. It started because Stacey had fallen into hard times in her off-neo life. Her boyfriend of the time did not like her spending a lot of time on the site and asked her to quit. So she left Neopets and Rohane’s Bane.

Because she left the guild, ownership was passed on to me. Most unfortunatly, I couldn’t handle it. There was too much work involved, my head was pounding. What was I going to do? I had to get new graphics and a new webbie, even make new graphics for the mall. The guild wasn’t going to be as fun without Stacey there. Following Stacey, a few of the council members left within the next two days. By Lyn and about half the guild left. I had to get new graphics and a new webbie, even make new graphics for the mall.

I left the guild, giving it to Nicci (chunkyskunky) who appointed devilionwings and Pazer into council. I went off in search of another guild to no prevail. A few days later, I saw Stacey on the NQC board using a side account. But she wasn’t there long. The guild was private so I couldn’t get in. I wanted to re-join, but I didn’t wasn’t to jump on the bandwagon and join like everyone else. So I laid low for a few days, having other stuff to occupy me. But I was bored on Neopets. It was no fun without Stacey. By the time I got back, the council was full and Stacey had reborn the guild.

After the Storm:
I was amazed what Stacey could do in just a few days. She had pulled everything back together! It was around this time that she had the idea of creating the Boss Level Guide and FAQ Guide. Chanel (our newest second in command) wrote the Skills Guide. Still having to juggle her real life and her online life, Stacey didn’t have all the time she need to really get the guild moving.

In April, Stacey surprised us all with a new layout in April. Then Stacey started the guild Webbie. It had a great layout, with great things inside it. The webbie looked great at first, but then… a surprise that no one could anticipage made it even better. She created a forum, which is like Neopet’s chat boards, except you can talk about anything as well as create polls. There weren’t any annoying spammers, which was awesome. Stacey keeps continuing to amaze us with the new ideas she has for the guild. We can't help but wonder what she will come up with next. It just makes you wonder doesn’t it?
